- Register for a region to participate: You will not be able to participate in the hackathon until you have created an account and registered for a region. Please click the "Register Now" button on this page to do so. Registration will be open through the end of the event. We encourage all participants to register as soon as possible. Once you register, you will start to receive messages with tips, links to tutorials, and more. If needed, you can change your region in the user dashboard by selecting "Change Region" in the profile section.
- Save the date: The hackathon will begin Wednesday, June 23 at 9:00 AM local time, when you will be able to join the chat rooms, create and join teams, and submit projects. The hackathon will end on Wednesday, June 29 at 11:59 PM local time. All projects must be submitted by this time. To see other important dates, please see the Participant FAQ.
- Connect with the community through social media: We recommend you follow EO Dashboard partners at @NASAEarth, @ESA_eo, @JAXA_en and be part of the conversation using #EODashHack.
- Prepare for the hackathon with the Virtual Bootcamp: Prior to the hackathon, tune in to our website and YouTube channel to access exclusive content from NASA, ESA, and JAXA. Topics include data workshops, introductions to the challenges, and tutorials on how to navigate the dashboard.
- Join the chat rooms: Rocket Chat, the open source chat platform used by EO Dashboard Hackathon, will open on June 23. The chat rooms will consist of regional channels, where you can connect with participants from your region and search for teammates. There will also be challenge channels, where you can connect with Subject-Matter Experts on June 25-27. They will be available to answer your questions about the challenges and the data!
