Brainstorming Analysis Factors

1. Atmospheric chemistry - can we use Giovanni to distinguish between NO2 & SO2 coming from land versus from ships coming to port?
2. Seasonal shifts in atmosphere - how does air temperature affect NO2 & SO2?
3. Regulations for ship emissions - what is permissible? Any information on older vs. newer ships in use currently?
4. Cloud over, illumination conditions, and/or daily satellite overpass times affect the analysis how?
5. What specific satellite instruments will be useful? For example, OMI can detect NO2 but is affected by cloud cover.
