Ship Traffic and the Impact on Air Quality

The COVID-19 pandemic strongly affected global logistics and supply chains, and hence shipping activity. This challenge asks you to target the characterization of dynamic shipping activities as seen from space.

Environmentally friendly ships

Summary

The idea of the project is based on a different ship shape design to solve the problem of air pollution in light of the Corona pandemic

How I Addressed This Challenge

1)We used sailing ships, but with a strong material that is resistant to air and storms.

2)It maintains air quality and reduces diseases spread in the air, which may cause the death of some individuals.

3)It works to move the ship with a strong sail, but in a safe way that does not pollute the air instead of using engines that cause the emission of gases.

4)The sail acts as the engine as it moves the ship through air resistance and without any fuel.

5)Keeping the air clean and avoiding diseases.

How I Developed This Project

Replacing the ship's engine with a sail made of natural fibers as nylon to be capable pf resisting air so that the sail gives the ship the same speed when it was moving using the engine.

Earth Observing Dashboard Integration

The sails of ships can be equipped with precise sensors through which satellites can monitor the movement of ships.
