Storytelling in the COVID-19 Era

The longer human activities are changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the more visible, wider, and longer lasting the scope of environmental impacts may be. Your challenge is to tell a visual story about the impacts of the pandemic using Earth observation data and other complementary information.

Getting better with science

Summary

Hackers, we have the central scientists. UM Team presents one of the biggest stem challenges in the current pandemic period of the interconnected land system, storytelling is not only for the little ones. Raising is the name, app developed with innovative solution for stories counting in Covid-19, operating with educational resources, as the global podcasts attached important stories in the scientific world, illustrative templates section for editing, SE Section. However, we give a team we value the scientific disclosure strongly, with this, our purpose is connect you with a storytelling guide of the era Covid-19 from our raising application for free resources and how science can help.

How I Addressed This Challenge

One of Sciences greatest challenges nowadays and for a very long time, has been the scientists storytelling's reaching. Our app propose a new and more simple approach that will share this content through podcast, google links and scientific templates from all around the globe. For each country there will have a specific content in theirs language because the app is a world-wide dynamic. According to the newest global situation due the Covid-19, the app will also serve as a way to help save lives, because information about the diseases will be added and as long as we go through it, will have special attention. It is important to make the knowledge public so everyone can take care of themselves, in situation like this, information that have not given the amount of credit as they should, will be posted as well.

How I Developed This Project

The main inspiration of the project was the fact that we are all young scientists, our futures can inspire future generations. In order for the project to have a suitable solution, we used the application factory (Fabapp). From this software we develop the usability, design and client area of our application, which has the main panel and tabs that allow everything to come into harmony. Our problem was basically to convey concisely our ideas through a useful and creative application that allow everything to come into harmony. Our problem was basically to convey concisely our ideas through a useful and creative application that is really a catalyst for the future achievements of humanity and generation and will be motivated by achievements, our problem was solved by our motivations.

How I Used Space Agency Data in This Project

About the Podcast, we interacted with the idea in the NASA Podcast phrase “Houston, we have Podcast”, and in our “Hackers, we have the Center of Scientists.”

On this app we used simultaneous lives from YouTube offered by NASA's app and ISS.

Earth Observing Dashboard Integration

From the Watching the Earth Dashboard (EO) in the Data Covid-19 indicator, interactive data from confirmed cases in global scientists will be maximized in our Raising application through UM visual CubeSat. On the slide, we also simulated with images from the EO panel chart cases confirmed in the world on the date before the end of the Hackathon. Finally, the EO Panel's Data Covid-19 indicator has entered the Oxford University interactive data source Our World in Data of free resources that also contribute to the development of our app in relation to concurrent confirmed cases globally.
