The longer human activities are changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the more visible, wider, and longer lasting the scope of environmental impacts may be. Your challenge is to tell a visual story about the impacts of the pandemic using Earth observation data and other complementary information.
My project fully depends on the low agricultural production of Brandenburg region of Germany due to the covid 19 outbreak. My project story tells about the problem faced by agro food industry by Germany and also I mentioned the solution for the problem.
I developed an idea of how we can use the information from satellites to reduce the decreasing production of agriculture in Brandenburg region. It is very much important to bring such concept to not only to save countries agricultural production but also the lives of the people, as many agricultural labors were unemployed and had to face many crises like :- financial debts, starvation etc. also this project is important to balance out the Germany's economy, to make Germany's agriculture sector to stand out through this break out. This project helps to catch up the areas were the agriculture production is low. There can be several reasons of reducing the productions like :- many farmers would not have able to afford the crops or some would have not able to afford the proper products needed to grow crops such as , fertilizers etc. So, this project will catch the data using satellite to check the reason of low production like, by data if we captured that the particular region has no crops at all , so we can reach to the farmer of that land through messages using telecommunication satellite and we would know that he has not planted crops because of no economical support, so we would do the same with other regions, like if we captured that the region is now empty but the crops are not grown only so by doing the same process with this land owner also, we came to know that he planted the crops but not able to feed the. By taking such data's and arranging them through a data analytic we can reach out to those regions to conduct surveys and raising funds etc. I hope to achieve the economic stability and people food satisfaction of all countries especially those who are facing agricultural crisis,
My native belongs to countryside and I have seen such agricultural crisis, that how the family starves and face problems. My uncle who is an farmer in countryside, have faced a lot of agricultural production loss, he had no financial support for the crops as his last crops were all over ripe, he had a debt of his house loan and also he did not have a proper guide on his problem. He was not knowing that what is the exact problem behind the situation, this inspired me to do a project that would find out the problems using the satellites. My approach was to use the remote sensing satellites to make a data of the regions space condition like whether they are fully empty or the lands textures are different as compared to past years. I faced a lot of problems to think big, but I made a paper work project to give the shape to my idea.
I used space agency data to find out the regions were there was the agricultural crisis. I used the data to look which region has faced low production of agriculture production in this pandemic.etc.
I have made a solution were we use the remote sensing satellite to find out that where the region is facing a problem of no financial support for crops or not for the other material required. We will reach out to those people using the communication satellites via messages and conduct a online survey for there problems region wise.
My solution can be integrated in Earth observing Dashboard as we can make a app or a site and add it in EO dashboard, where we will be able to see the regional problems through remote sensing satellites and connect to those peoples through messages and conduct a online survey to give them the solution of there problems.
