Multi-Mission Earth Observation Data Visualization

The EO Dashboard is derived from a suite of different satellites from the EO observation (EO) programs of the three collaborating space agencies: NASA, ESA, and JAXA. Your challenge is to devise a way to visually fuse information from diverse Earth observation datasets of different missions.

More Minds, Greater Goals

Summary

More Minds, Greater Goals is a public domain collaborative website, where data gathered from diverse EO datasets of different missions that are not confidential and in no way may cause harm or danger, can be accessed by the public so that more minds around the globe can work together and collaborate.

How I Addressed This Challenge

This project doesn’t only aim for inclusivity but also and most importantly, discovery. Various professionals and aspiring ones can now have resources that can be accessed conveniently. Thus, chances of accurate and efficient ways to harmonize the spatial and temporal coverages can be increased given that experimentation and as well as spatially and temporally overlapping the observations are from different and fresh perspectives.

This gives much significance to devices/equipment and distinct skills each and every one of the population benefitting from this project has. The More Minds, Greater Goals website is a user-friendly, internet accessible input-output site which will have a “submit visualization” feature. Users of the said site will be able to view multi-mission Earth Visualization data, try to ‘sum it all up’ and point out their conclusion.

Also, to help out experts that will review the submission they have to detail out softwares, devices and equipment they utilized to furnish their output. All of which will be submitted in a portal in the website to be reviewed by experts from NASA, ESA, and JAXA. Its functionalities will ensure a wide range of users and point of views.

How I Developed This Project

I believe that mainly what inspired me to take on this challenge is that an effective solution that may be presented would cater and open new doors of innovations to further improve multi-mission Earth observation data visualization. This challenge also doesn’t only focus on a specific global issue but this helps bridge the gap between other challenges the Earth is currently facing.

Furthermore, html and css are the coding languages I will be using to develop the project. As all of which are website builder tools, notepad++, the primary software I used, is the ultimate companion I have.

How I Used Space Agency Data in This Project

Primarily, space agency data that I utilized determined the limits and scope of More Minds, Greater Goals. On a greater scale, such are of great significance in identifying unclassified information that can be safely accessed in the website.

Earth Observing Dashboard Integration

As everything in the website, “More Minds, Greater Goals” are basically summarized and an IO version of the EO dashboard, a redirect button of it could work as fine.
