In summary, our project focus on keeping a low level of pollution made by boats seen in the pandemic. Having that in mind, when boats start circulating in high circulation, it will be done initially with a hybrid motor, which is a part of the energy generated for moving the boat will be made with renewable energy and the other part with oil. Oil is currently used on a large scale (it is noteworthy that the use of this “hybrid” energy will be made by a relevant company). After this implementation, with a certain time and adaptation in the use of this type of energy on boats, the use of this energy will become common for this mode of transport. How I Addressed This Challenge

Our project tries to solve the problem of pollution caused by ship traffic, through the use of a new type of engine. This is important because of the destruction made to the ozone layer, the increase in the Earth's temperature (which we can see increasing since the 1980s), and the deterioration of air quality, causing an increase in temperature and deterioration of the breathing medium, are preserved. This project would cause a decrease in the deterioration of the air and, in addition, would influence other areas of the transport sectors, to use a more ecological type of energy in their products. It would work through a continuous and calm (not abrupt) implementation, which would make people have time to get used to this type of energy and see that the type of biodegradable energy used previously would no longer be necessary (that is, the idea of ​​implementing this type of energy, would be little by little). We hope that this project will help more capable minds to have a more pertinent and developed idea for the improvement of air quality, both in sea, land, and air locomotion means.

How I Developed This Project

We used graphs to analyze data and the idea of ​​long-term development, as we need to give companies an incentive to use this new type of energy and time to get used to it and see its benefits. All of this, to popularize the use of this type of energy. We used websites provided by the challenge creators themselves and external information (such as graphics, reports, studies, and so on).Our biggest difficulty was the time (we learned about the existence of the challenge one day before its final date).

How I Used Space Agency Data in This Project

We used the data referring to the degree of pollution in certain regions, pre and post-pandemic. With this data, we had the idea of ​​seeing data related to the decrease in exports by sea and which are the main countries that used it and how this reduction in exports affected their “air”.
